Description

This solid sterling silver 'Castle Top' card case is in excellent condition.

It features a high-relief picture of the Nile, and, should one be in any doubt, is inscribed 'NILE (PHILAE)'. The back is highly decorated and has a vacant cartouche. The case is hallmarked for Birmingham 1903, with the maker's mark of Robert Pringle & Sons. The hinge on the cover is tight and there is good gilding inside the cover.
