This oversized rosewood x frame stool (Circa 1830) epitomises the style and elegance of the late regency period. The stool has been professionally restored and is ready to be once again used and enjoyed. The upholstered seat is of the highest standard and its fabric cover has been well chosen, so not to overpower its frame but exentuate its design. The varying tones of colour that we look for in a piece of rosewood furniture from this period can be seen in the adjoining images. Rosewood is a highly decorative and attractive timber, however it is not as stong as some straighter grained hardwoods, so this should be taken into consideration if you want to use it other than for its intended purpose.
