Antique Victorian Sterling Silver and Glass Basket

Description

An Antique Victorian Sterling silver and glass swing handled basket which has a wonderful pierced body decorated with leaves and grapes and resting on a raised circular foot with the same pierced detailing. There is a swing handle attached to the top rim with flower decoration and a blue glass liner which fits neatly within the body. This fine silver basket would be practical to use and would look decorative when displayed on the table. It stands at 20.30 cms high and the diameter of the body is 11.00 cms.

It was hallmarked in London for 1840 by Charles Reily and George Storer and remains in excellent condition. It weighs 13.40 troy ounces ( 416 grams) without the glass liner.

Complimentary postage is included within the price of this silver basket.
