Description

This has to be the best chinoiserie floor standing standard lamp I've had for years, just the right amount of country house crust with the most wonderful rich colour tone and has polished beautifully...circa 1920.

The base has a generously proportioned turned plinth and keeps the lamp very stable.

So decorative with the detailed chinoiserie and the colour works so well too. There are some knocks and bumps to the base and some very small, not very noticeable losses to the column, but nothing more than is typical for this style of floor standard lamp.

The lamp has been rewired and pat tested, using a gold braided cord which works well against the red.

59 1/2 inches or 151 cm to the top of the bulb holder

15 inches or 38 cm diameter base
