Shaun King Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The ORIENTAL DISHES, decorated in the IMARI PALETTE, date from around 1800.
Though one DISH was damaged their value was recognised, even 100 years ago.

The brass frames are of Oriental design, to complement the dishes. They feature dragon's heads and bamboo canes.
The brass has been left untouched, ie not polished, to reflect the SCONCES' interesting history.

Condition: One Dish in good condition. The other has been broken and reglued with old-fashioned brown glue. Two small pieces of the original porcelain are missing. The brass frame supports it well. The four candle cups have, at some time, been drilled to carry an electric wire.
