Stunning French Agate and Solid Silver Desk Wax Seal C1890 Large 3.5inch Antique

Description

A beautiful large French 19th Century solid silver and agate silver wax seal. It is hallmarked with a makers mark an dates to c1890. It tests as high grade silver. I would date it to c1890. It has been beautifully designed having a red banded agate handle and silver seal end engraved with what I think are the initials COP. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits chips cracks and repairs. It measures 3.5 inches (9cms) tall by 0.75 inches (2.3cms) wide and weighs 36 grams. A beautifully made piece.
