Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Jug 1871 - Roman Soldiers

Description

This is an unusual super antique Victorian hallmarked solid sterling silver jug measuring 4 1/4" (10.5 cms) across from handle to spout x 6 1/2" (17 cms) tall to the rim and hallmarked for London 1871 with the silversmiths mark for Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall - it's also marked underneath with the retailers mark 'Sorley' of Glasgow.

It weighs 288 grams / 9.2 troy oz and there are no inscriptions or monograms.

It's in excellent condition with no damage and is decorated all round with a Roman soldier type scene - any marks you can see are just reflections.
