Fine Art Deco Silver Toast Rack Brimingham 1932

1920 - 1940
Description

A very fine and good heavy gauge silver toast rack. In lovely Art Deco style, the unusual shape is a stylish design feature, with iconic deco style wings on either side. Four good sized compartments, in which to stand the toast make it a practical item. Very clear hallmarks are visible on one side for the Birmingham Assay office with a date mark for 1932 and Lion Passant indicating fine sterling silver. The silver maker's mark is also very clear and crisp: Deakin & Francis

 

Condition: In lovely antique condition.

 

Hallmarks: Birmingham 1932 by Deakin & Francis.

 

Measurements:

Height including handle : 7.4 cm Width: 8.0 cm Depth: 6.4 cm

Weight: 64 grams
