Four good sized compartments, in which to stand the toast make it a practical item. Very clear hallmarks are visible on one side for the Birmingham Assay office with a date mark for 1932 and Lion Passant indicating fine sterling silver. The silver maker's mark is also very clear and crisp: Deakin & Francis
