Description

A beautiful American sterling silver desk bill paperwork spike. It is hallmarked STERLING along with the makers mark of Mauser of New York (1887-1903) and has been retailed by Shreve Crump and Low. I would date it to c1900. It has a beautiful Art Nouveau base and is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It measures 4 inches (10cms) tall and weighs 110 grams (weighted base). A beautifully made unusual piece.
