Description

A quality late Victorian solid silver swing handle fruit basket by Richard Richardson, fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1900, with Staffordshire brewery interest. The basket beautifully decorated repousse and pieced decoration, with acanthus leaves and gadrooned border. All raised upon an oval pedestal base.

The hallmarks are sharp and clear and in superb condition throughout, professionally cleaned and polished.

Included with the basket is a hand written presentation note which relates to the inscription, dated 5th December 1901.
