Original Holophane Flying Saucer Glass Pendant Light

1920 - 1940
Description

A good example of an original Holophane 'Flying Saucer' light dating from the early 20th Century. It is made in two parts joined by a metal cage and has a hooked brass gallery. The distinctive prismatic ribbed glass is beautiful and it is stamped on the rim "Holophane 2712R. Patent No 380867".

It has been wired with a simple hanging flex cord and bayonet bulb holder.

The light is in good condition and displays well. There are some small nibbles and very minor chips around the edges but no major damages. It has been cleaned and the gallery has been lightly polished. It is ready to install but we always recommend that the light is checked and wired by a professional electrician.

Diameter of shade : 13" (33cm)

Height to Hook of Gallery : 11" (28cm)
