Norwegian 830s Solid Silver Christening Baptism Spoon C1900 Marius Hammer 46g

Description

A super quality Norwegian solid silver Christening or Baptism spoon. It is hallmarked with the 830S mark and makers marks of Marius Hammer. It dates to c1890-1900. It has been beautifully made in the form of a much earlier example being engraved with a love heart. It was most likely designed to be used for the ceremony then given to the child afterwards. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 5.75 inches (14.8cms) long by 2 inches (5.3cms) wide and weighs 46 grams. A very interesting beautifully made piece.
