Antique Georgian 18th Century Solid Silver Twin Handled Tray

Description

A fine example of a large solid silver tray with two handles. It is a stylish piece with delicate engraved border and central engraved laurel wreath.

It is excellent quality and weighs approximately 1650g.

It is clearly hallmarked for William Bennett, London, 1799.

It is in good condition for its age. There are no major damages and it displays beautifully. There are some faint surface marks, very light surface scratches and some minor dinks and small dents but nothing detrimental. The very centre of the tray is slightly wavy and it is possible that some engraving has been polished out at some point but I can't be sure, I have mentioned it for utmost accuracy.
