Hallmarks: French, eagle’s head

Comments: This unique medal is ravishing. The mother of pearl depicts the profile of the Virgin Mary, looking to the left. We can see a star above her head. The back has been engraved with a name but it is hardly legible. The hinge is marked with the French eagle’s head. It is from the early 20th century.
