Very Large George V Solid Silver Vesta Case

1900 - 1920
Description

A very large George V solid silver vesta case by Sibray, Hall & Co, hallmarked London 1919. This particularly large cushion shaped example with wonderful foliate engraved decoration and central circular cartouche (vacant). The case opens to reveal the interior for vestas as well a compartment for striker paper, engraved 4; a most unusual feature. This large vesta measures 6.5cm high x 5.2cm wide (approx). Photographed against a smaller vesta case for scale, (not included but available to purchase separately).

A fine example, in excellent original condition. Weight: 66 grams
