A beautiful solid sterling silver snuff or trinket table box. It is hallmarked with import marks for London 1899 with the importer being John George Smith, it has also been marked with German Hanau marks. It has been beautifully designed depicting Classical scenes and has been gilded inside. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. The hinge is strong and the lid closes tight. It measures approx. 3.5 inches (9cms) across by 2.75 inches (6.7cms) wide by 1.5 inches (4cms) tall and weighs 132 grams. A super quality piece.
