A superb first year of reign Victorian solid sterling silver Fiddle Pattern basting spoon. It is hallmarked for London 1839 with the makers marks being those of William Theobalds ad Robert Atkinson.. It has been superbly designed and has been engraved with the crest of the Griffin Family - the crest being a Griffin. It is in super condition having no dings splits distortions or repairs. It measures approx. 12 inches (30.5cms) long by 2.25 inches (5.7cms) wide and weighs an impressive 134 grams. A very high quality piece.
