Pair of Silver Ladles London 1848 by John & Henry Lias

Description

A first rate pair of splendid Victorian, fiddle pattern silver ladles. The ladles are a lovely plain polished silver and a good heavy gauge, which feel lovely to hold in the hand. The back of each terminal bear the very clear hallmarks for the London Assay office with a date mark for 1848, Lion Passant, indicating the finest sterling silver, with silver maker's mark for John and Henry Lias.

 

Condition: A lovely pair of ladles in lovely antique collector's condition.

 

Hallmarks: London 1848 by John and Henry Lias

 

Measurements: Length of each Ladle: 18 cm Width across Ladle Bowl: 6 cm

 

Total weight of both ladles: 155 grams

 

Weights and measurements are approximate.
