Donald Allison Antiques has dated this piece to the 1910s.
. It was produced as a lamp and is therefore drilled through the centre and out of the base , although it would not appear to have been wired and used as a lamp . There are two small issues , the glass shade has two large chips and the serpentine cap has two chips on the underside as shown in the images . Altogether a stunning piece of Cornish art , of a probably unique size , standing over 3 feet in height .

UNFORTUNATELY ;
Whilst in transit to an exhibition , the stone base was damaged . We have had it restored and although not ideal it does not detract from the drama of this model as there is no damage to the serpentine .
WE HAVE THEREFOR DECIDED IT IS ONLY CORRECT TO REDUCE THE PRICE FROM £2200 TO £1150 .
