A stunning large Edwardian solid sterling silver bowl. It is hallmarked for London 1901 with the makers marks being JWFCW for Wakely & Wheeler (James Wakely & Frank Clarke Wheeler). It has been superbly designed having cast shell handles and an embossed strawberry design to the bowl, 18th century influenced. It is in superb condition, having no dings splits or repairs, light marks from use. It measures approx. 10 inches (25.5cms) across including the handles and 6.5 inches (16.6cms) excluding them by 1.25 inches (3.2cms) tall and weighs an impressive 280 grams. A beautiful and unusual piece.
