A beautiful solid silver cigar case, desk, or tobacco box. It is hallmarked with the marks used in Ceylon and tests as high grade silver. I would date it to c1940's. It has been beautifully hand made being decorated with animals and scrolls around a vacant cartouche. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It measures approx. 4.5 inches (11.7cms) long by 3.25 inches (8.6cms) wide by 1.8cms thick and weighs 146 grams. A superbly designed high quality example.
