A superb rare large Georgian solid sterling silver basting spoon. It is hallmarked for London 1836 with the makers marks being IH for John Harris V. It has been superbly designed being made to what it termed Fiddle Pattern. The terminal has been engraved with two initials. It is in outstanding condition having no dings splits distortions or repairs. It measures approx. 12 inches (30.5cms) long by 2.25 inches (5.7cms) wide and weighs 130 grams. An impressive high quality piece.
