Stunning heavy continental 800 solid silver asparagus or vegetable serving tongs. They are hallmarked for 800 standard and were more than likely, judging by their style, made in Belgium. I would date them to c1900. They have been beautifully designed being decorated with flowers and bows. They have entwined initials to the end. They are in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. They measure 10.25 inches (26cms) long by 2 inches (5.1cms) across the grips and weigh an impressive 198 grams. Superbly made examples.
