Description

A beautiful pair of American solid sterling silver Art Nouveau table salt cellars and spoons. They are hallmarked STERLING along with the makers mark of Frank M Whiting & Co who was active from 1878 to 1940. I would date these to c1910. They have been beautifully designed having blue glass liners. They are superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs as are the liners. The salts measure approx. 2.5 inches (6.4cms) across by 1.75 inches (4.5cms) wide by 1.5 inches (3.8cms) tall and the spoons 3.5 inches (9cms) long by 1 inch (2.5cms) wide and they have a combined weight of 144 grams with the liners and 84 grams without.
