Description

A beautiful and unusual English solid sterling silver squeeze tobacco box. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1903 with the makers marks being WA for William Aitken. It has been superbly designed and has been engraved to the lid with initials 'AB or BA' and 'MANY HAPPY RETURNS OF THE DAY DEC 8TH 1904'. The inside is gilded. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. To open it you gently squeeze the sides and is flips open. It measures approx. 3.75 inches (9.5cms) across by 3 inches (7.5cms) wide by 1 inch (2.5cms) tall and weighs 84 grams. A very high quality piece.
