A very good quality rare English solid sterling silver fish server. It is hallmarked for London 1863 with the makers mark being those of George Adams. It has been superbly made to the Kings Pattern with finely engraved fish and most interestingly the insignia of the 39th Peninsular Regiment - the Dorsetshire Regiment of Foot, most likely once been part of a grand canteen used by the officers. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 8.5 inches (21.8cms) long by 1.25 inches (3cms) wide and weighs 65 grams. A very rare and interesting piece.
