Description

A very unusual English solid sterling silver box. It is hallmarked for London 1902 with the makers marks being AO. It has been beautifully made having five compartments and has been engraved with the crest and motto of the Hungerford Family. I do not know what it was for. It is in good condition being free from splits, holes, repairs, and significant dings, there are a couple of small dimples, see final photo. The inside is clean and gilded. It measures approx. 2.5 inches (6.6cms) tall by 1.5 inches (3.7cms) wide and weighs 36 grams. A very interesting piece.
