Description

An early silver Sherry Label, nicely engraved with 'Sherry' in typical late 18th century style. Chain attached for placing onto a decanter. The label bears clear hallmarks on the back for the London Assay Office with a date mark for 1796 and silver maker's mark: Thomas Phipps & Edward Robinson.

 

Condition: In super antique collector's condition.

 

Hallmarks: London 1796 by Thomas Phipps & Edward Robinson.

 

Measurements: Size of label: 4.4 cm x 2.2 cm
