A beautifully made Victorian solid sterling silver quaich or Brandy bowl. It is hallmarked for London 1891 with the makers marks being RF. For those unaware a quaich / brandy bowl was filled with alcohol and passed amongst guests. It has a superb thick gauge 17th century designed. It is in superb condition, having no dings splits or repairs. It measures approx. 7 inches (17.8cms) across including the handles 4.25 inches (11cms) excluding them by 1.75 inches tall and weighs an impressive 152 grams. A top quality piece.
