Description

This is a late Victorian hallmarked sterling silver bon bon dish, by Fenton Brothers (Samuel Fenton & William Staniforth), assayed in Sheffield in 1896. It was retailed by Z Barraclough & Sons, Leeds.

It is of circular form with an undulating edge. The whole border has gadrooned, scrolling and floral detail.

The dish is in good general condition with wear commensurate to the age. There are some small dents to the underside of the dish and some minor surface marks.

It weighs 141g (4.56 oz t)
