Stunning Victorian Silver Heart Dish Hallmarked London 1896 William Comyns

Description

A stunning solid silver heart shaped trinket dish with beautiful repousse decoration of birds, scrolls and the green man with charming frilled edges. There is a vacant cartouche with scroll border in the centre.

 

Clear hallmarks are visible for the London Assay office with a date mark for 1896, Lion Passant indicating fine sterling silver and the silver maker's mark: William Comyns & Sons.

 

Condition: In lovely condition

 

Hallmarks: London 1896 by William Comyns & Sons.

 

Measurements:

Width: 9.6 cm Length: 8.4 cm Depth: 0.9 cm

Combined weight: 40 grams
