A beautiful cased novelty English solid sterling silver novelty tot cup or measure. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1969 with the maker’s marks being JS&S for James Swann & Son. It has been superbly designed being in the form of an oversized thimble bearing the words JUST A THIMBLEFUL. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes distortions and repairs. The inside is perfectly clean and usable. It measures approx. over 2 inches (5.4cms) tall by over 1.5 inches (4.2cms) across the rim by 1.25 inches (3.2cms) across the base and weighs 32 grams (excluding the case). A beautifully made interesting piece.
