Fine Silver Christening Tankard London 1929

A superb, George V, solid silver Christening/New Baby tankard. This stunning item is a lovely plain polished silver with no engraving or embossing. It stands on one circular foot and has a handsome handle to one side. Near to the handle are the very clear and crisp hallmarks for the London Assay Office with a date mark for 1929 and Lion Passant indicating fine sterling silver. The maker's mark is also very clear for the renowned silversmiths: R&W Sorley.

 

A fine Christening tankard and a good heavy gauge of silver. It would make a great Christening/new baby gift!

 

Condition: In great antique condition.
