Description

This is a pair of Art Deco design hallmarked sterling silver butter dishes and knives. The dishes were assayed in Birmingham in 1961 and made by Barker Brothers Silver Ltd. The butter knives were also assayed in Birmingham and made by Barker Brothers Silver Ltd, but were assayed in 1957.

The dishes are of circular form with stepped down edges and twin geometric Odeon design handles. They both have clear frosted glass liners. The butter knives have matching Odeon design handles.

Both of the glass liners have a shallow chip to the rim. Otherwise the set is in good order with general wear commensurate with age.

The total weight of the silver is 160g (5.17 oz t)
