Antique Solid Sterling Silver Cream Jug

1900 - 1920
Description

A good example of an antique Sterling Silver milk or cream jug. It is a tall elegant shape with Georgian style gadrooning around the middle and it stands on a round foot with scrolling handle. The jug is stylish and good quality, weighing approximately 85g.

It is clearly hallmarked for Jones & Crompton, Birmingham, 1911.

It is in good condition for its age. There are some faint surface marks and minor signs of age and use but nothing detrimental and it displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished is ready for use.

The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions just ask.
