A large example of these highly sought-after desk accessories, a real talking point and decorative too on the finest of desks.

The sterling silver container would have water in and the cut glass roller would turn through the water and moisten the back of the postage stamp.

The silver is hallmarked for London 1906. making this a true Edwardian example. The makers mark S.I. Ld. for Stokes & Ireland Ltd -William Henry Stokes & Arthur George Ireland.

All in excellent condition with the footprint measuring 3 3/4" x 2 1/2" and standing 1 1/2" tall.
