Description

SUPERB set of six early Victorian Sterling silver dessert spoons, marked for WILLIAM FERGUSON of ELGIN. These are one of the best sets of Scottish marked silver dessert spoons we have ever had in, the condition is first class.

Hallmarked for the silver makers HAYNE & CATER of LONDON for 1848

Also marked WILLIAM FERGUSON ELGIN.

Marks are superb.

I would imagine these were ordered by William Ferguson from Hayne and Cater for a local Scottish customer back in 1848.
