In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the 1930s.
It has an on/off switch in the base.
The base of the lamp measures approximately 5" (13cm) square. The shade is 8 1/2" (22cm) long and the lamp stands 13 1/2" (34cm) tall.
The lamp has been re-wired and PAT Tested and is in good working order. It takes a standard bayonet bulb (bulb not included with lamp).
It is in good condition for its age. The brass has tarnished over time and there are signs of age and use and some minor dinks and surface marks here and there but overall it displays very well. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
