Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1910s.
Clear hallmarks are visible for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1913 and silver maker's mark: Herbert Bushell, with partial hallmarks to the underside of the lid. The underneath of the inkwell is covered with red leatherette.

A lovely rare inkwell, very practical for a fountain pen owner.
Condition: Both silver and glass are in great condition.
