Technical Description
A vaseline glass claret jug with a silver-plated lid and handle dating to the late 19th century. Almost certainly by John Walsh Walsh who made various flower pattern vaseline glass vessels.
It was sold in Australia some years ago.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time the sport of Volleyball was invented by W G Morgan in Massachusetts in 1895.
