A Lovely Edwardian Silver Gilt Novelty 'Trug' Basket

A lovely item of Edwardian silver novelty ware. This charming piece is a small basket or 'trug', with a fixed handle and fully gilded interior. The body stands on four feet and is ribbed. Items like these have a number of uses, including dishes for small jewelry items or as condiment dishes for the table. A lovely example, both practical and decorative. Dimensions below.
