Silver 5 Piece Cased Cruet Set Birmingham 1936

A superb, 5-piece, solid silver Cruet Set in the original black leatherette case with black velvet and cream satin lining. The set comprises a Mustard Pot with lid and original blue glass liner and silver Mustard Spoon, Salt Pot with original blue glass liner and silver Salt Spoon and Pepper Pot. Hallmarks are clearly visible on each of the pots for the Birmingham Assay Office, along with the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver and the maker's mark for Roberts & Dore.

 

Both the mustard and salt spoon are simply plain polished silver with a nicely styled flat tip to the top of each handle.

 

A superb original set in great antique collector's condition. No dents to the silver. Would make a wonderful gift for weddings, anniversaries, etc.

 

Hallmarks and maker's marks: Birmingham 1936/ 39/41 by Roberts & Dore.

 

Condition: All of the silver is in great antique condition. The blue glass liners have no chips or cracks.
