19th Century Ormolu Bronze Lamp Base

Description

A 19th century crisply cast ormolu bronze lamp base with lotus and classical leaf decoration. The reeded shaft with applied stiff leaf decoration. The whole lamp raised on an octagonal base with flower head cast motifs. The top with a cast flambeau style mount. The underside of the base is fitted with an original iron weight to provide extra stability. The decorative ormolu bronze lamp is of impressive proportions with a subtle aged patina and colour. The lamp has been rewired using cotton covered period style flex and is PAT tested. Shade not included.
