Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Locking Tea Caddy

Description

An Antique Victorian sterling silver locking tea caddy which has a square bombe shaped body, a hinged lid with a fluted finial on the top and resting on four decorative legs. The decoration on the body is extremely elaborate and attractive depicting flowers, leaves and swirls and there is a plain vacant cartouche on each side of the body. The locking mechanism is still in good working order and the overall condition is excellent. This silver tea caddy would make a desirable addition to a collection and would be perfect to use. It stands at 12.00 cms (4.7") high and is 9.60 cms (3.8") square. It weighs 13.10 troy ounces (409 grams).

The tea caddy was hallmarked in Sheffield for 1894 by Jenkins and Timm and remains in excellent condition.

Complimentary postage with insurance is offered within the price of this silver tea caddy.
