Quality George V solid silver capstan watch inkwell, hallmarked Birmingham 1920. The silver lid detaches to enclose a lovely 935 silver cased Swiss pocket watch.

A rare and highly collectable piece, in excellent condition throughout; unusually smaller than average proportions, these normally being very large. Any apparent marks are merely reflections, this is free from repair/damage; Under scrutiny there is a tiny dent in the rim of the base as illustrated. An elegant addition to any desk. It looks in the photographs like there are two dark bands of grey beneath the top of the inkwell, these are only reflections. The pocket watch is in working order, recently serviced. The original glass inkwell liner has previously been broken and very well re glued. It holds liquid without leaking, as illustrated. We can arrange for a replacement if required.
