Splendid Heavy Silver Sauce Boat Chester 1924

1900 - 1920
Description

A splendid, large and very fine solid silver sauce boat. Lovely design, standing on three ornate hoof feet and with a very elegant handle. The hallmarks and maker's marks are clearly visible just below the handle for the Chester Assay Office with a date mark for 1924, Lion Passant and clear maker's mark: S Blanckensee & Son.

 

This is a superior sauce boat, it is a heavy gauge silver and a most elegant design. The silver is in great condition with no nicks or dents. (The images show marking that can only been seen with the camera and are not visible to the naked eye).
