Description

A superb Victorian, solid silver cream jug, beautifully designed in helmet form and sitting on a neat square base. The polished silver has no embossing or engraving. The proportions are superb. It has a charming loop handle to one side perfectly enhancing the profile. Hallmarks for the Chester Assay office are visible on the body of the jug as well as the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver and a date mark for 1896. The maker's marks are also visible for Florence Warden.

Condition: This cream jug is in great antique condition. There is some very slight surface scratching mentioned for accuracy only.
