Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
This pattern is repeated around the edge of the circular pedestal foot. The quality of both the style and the craftmanship is very apparent.

Clear hallmarks are visible on the underside of the bowl for the Sheffield Assay Office with date mark for 1924 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver. The maker's mark is also clear for the renowned silversmiths: Mappin & Webb. When turned upside the 'Mappin & Webb' stamp with a scratched cross is also visible inside the pedestal.

It is in lovely condition.
