Antique Victorian Sterling Silver and Glass Centrepiece

Description

An Antique Victorian Sterling silver and glass centrepiece which has an ornate body with shell and bead detailing, a section at the top to hold the glass dish and three mythical winged creatures which sit neatly at the base of the body. This fine silver centrepiece would make a perfect table feature and would be ideal for displaying fruit and chocolates. The circular glass dish has been sympathetically renewed over time in keeping with the original design and the overall condition is excellent, although one of the winged nuts beneath the base has been replaced. The overall height is 24.00 cms, the height without the glass dish is 20.00 cms and the diameter of the glass dish is 22.90 cms. It weighs 25.70 troy ounces (800 grams) without the glass dish.

This centrepiece was hallmarked in Birmingham for 1896 by Elkington and remains in excellent condition.

Postage with insurance is offered free within the price of this silver centrepiece.
