Antique Silver Plate and Cut Glass Drum Biscuit Box 19th Century

Description

This is an exquisite cut glass and silver plate biscuit box bearing the makers mark TH & S the inventory number 7099, and dating from the late 19th Century.

The glass is engraved to look like a drim and it stands on a silver plated circular base with gadrooned border and raised on three recumbent lions. The underside bears the impressed makers marks.

The lid is surmounted with a musical handle, a trumpet over sheet music, and the underside of the lid is engraved:
